WELCOME

 During the days 14, 15 and 16 June 2017 we celebrate the XIX National Congress and VIII International SEMPSPH under the theme of "Harmonizing preventive medicine and public health in health policies". The challenge we pose address this year is of great importance, wanting to contribute to science and politics no longer disjointed spaces and move to interact with greater synergy, which can affect us that decisions on policies affecting the health are based on the best experience available.

  

 The Congress is held in this beautiful historic city, founded in the year 138. C. by the Roman consul Brutus Galaico when to disband his troops wanted to reward the bravery and the courage shown in battle, gave them land in the Hispanic lift, the new village he founded was called Valentia Edetanorum, and then Valencia.

 
 We meet at a previous time the summer with the idea of working to harmonize and bring preventive medicine and public health with the underlying objective of its greatest impact on health policies. To do this we will bring together researchers, teachers, public officials, both national and international in a Congress that marks a turning point towards greater integration of an area of global knowledge as Preventive Medicine and Public Health where all are welcome

 
 We look forward to welcoming you all those who are part of this great profession who daily strives to encourage lifestyle changes in the population and the environment in multiple facets that is, covering fields from the management of health services, quality, epidemiology, hospital preventive medicine, environment, etc.

 
 To encourage such contributions of all we thought just do it in a unique setting in Valencia, the City of Arts and Sciences. We will be located in its heart and we hope that this city will remain always in your. And if you do not know the city, come to know it, and if you already know, come to appreciate, and to love it.
